Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2012: Day 1

Backstage at Tadashi.

The official first day of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week at Lincoln Center started out with a bang at 9am at Nicholas K.  I was gearing up for the week, sitting in the pit early in the morning, making new friends and seeing familiar faces.  A mix of being half awake yet filled with adrenaline.  I love being entrenched with folks who have the same passion for photography – all crammed into a tiny riser with our beloved equipment.  Sitting not more than an inch from each other.

Nicholas K’s amazing western themed collection was followed up by BCBG Max Azria and Richard Choi – and then I was off to backstage at Tadashi.  I love love love Tadashi Shoji !  His gowns are AMAZING and he has such wonderful energy.  I couldn’t wait to take his portrait and be amongst the energy backstage with the folks from Cutler Salon.
